Equipment Sales Consultant

Salary - £30k - £38k - OTE £45k - £50k + Benefits

Location: Field based with time in office - M4 Corridor

Our business is growing year-on-year and I’m looking for an experienced Equipment Sales Consultant with great industry and product knowledge to join our growing team!

The ideal candidate is comfortable providing expertise and guidance in relation to product replacement and liaising with customers, manufacturers and engineers to ensure smooth delivery. This will include feeding off leads from engineers and being proactive with order generation. You’ll be working our already established account base to ensure we maximise our sales opportunities and continue to add value to our proposition.

This is not a job for a ‘box shifting’ sales rep. This person must have the gravitas and knowledge to provide a very trusted level of advice, helping customers to determine an optimal solution, given their specific circumstances. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the industry and aware of industry trends: a background in kitchen operations would also be useful. This role is largely customer facing, but it will be important to build and maintain strong relationships with key manufacturers and suppliers, our engineers in the field and back office support.

What do we want? A self-starter and proactive thinker – driving marketing initiatives, hunting for new leads and building strong relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source leads and survey to ensure orders can be fulfilled
  • Customer visits to survey for equipment and build rapports
  • Build strong relationships both within the organisation, and with suppliers in the industry
  • Accountability for quotes and orders being delivered
  • Self-generating business & developing knowledge on menu developments, trends & key account customers

Tasks:

  • Dealing with incoming sales queries
  • Sales interaction with customers to gather information for quotations
  • Meeting ambitious sales targets
  • Maintain CRM & sales pipeline
  • Liaising with engineers to facilitate installs
  • Building relationships with suppliers & OEMs

You will need:

  • Full UK Driving license
  • 3+ years experience within catering equipment sales
  • Proven track record of delivering against sales targets

Self-starter and proactive – you will be on the road 3-5 days per week
