Salary: £65-70k

Location: Based at our office in Maidenhead


Hi! I’m Dan, UK Managing Director at MCFT & I’m on the hunt for a Director of Operations to join our team. 


We’re going through an exciting period of growth in the UK & we’re looking for an excellent people manager with attention to detail, the ability to drive change and empower performance.

Setting targets, managing for performance & strategy development & implementation are all key parts of this role. 


We are based in Maidenhead and therefore you’ll need to be able to organise your time between your office-based team, field team, suppliers and potential new customers.

Responsibilities 

Ultimately ensuring the smooth running of our rapidly growing teams of field service technicians, especially the admin and back-office functions:


  • Setting and evolving SOP’s and Policies – anything from processing calls to customer feedback.
  • Monitoring Work in Progress – have we got visibility and allocated responsibilities for jobs at all stages – from quote to invoicing?
  • Internal KPI’s and balanced scorecard – are we hitting utilisation targets, procurement SLA’s, response times on emails?
  • Scheduling – optimising, routing, skillsets?
  • Materials –from new equipment through stocked inventory to the smooth-flow of spare parts.
  • Resources – fleet, tools, equipment – suitable, appropriate.
  • Account management – regular reviews with customers, mobilisation of new contracts.
  • Development and endorsement of our customer-facing systems, refinement of internal IT systems and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Team Management – we have a fantastic Operations team with experienced heads of department across Field Service Management, Customer Service, and Procurement & Compliance.


Experience & Expectations

  • Demonstrable people management experience.
  • Experience of a value led proposition is desirable.
  • Customer experience, client management and relationship building.
  • Be analytical in your approach, using data effectively to help make business critical decisions.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to drive forward continuous improvement.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and presenting skills, comfortable in working with multiple stakeholders at various levels.
