Meet our Technicians

Meet Our Technicians

Our Technicians are not just selected on their ability to fix fridges and cookers, they absolutely have to look after ‘their’ customers. They are our Account Managers. They are the face of MCFT.

The training and development for our Technicians never stops. There are continuous opportunities to not only enhance their technical skill set, but ensure they are trained on effective communications and are confident in managing customer requirements.

If an ambition to progress is shown, the opportunities are endless. They could become our next team leader, coaching and training the next generation ... or even move away from the tools into an operational role – we have an ILM assured Leadership Programme that helps our people get there!

Hear from Our People

"When I discovered the opportunity at MCFT and got in touch with Garry - recruitment manager, I was hooked on the idea of working as a technician instantly. I saw an opportunity to get some experience in something to better my knowledge and further my skills, setting me up for a long-term career.

Every experience at MCFT has been good, but I think alot of people would agree - getting the opportunity to work abroad is the best. It’s a great opportunity for a change of scenery, a great chance to travel if you haven’t had the opportunities before, also a chance to meet and work with colleagues from other countries."

Cerys Venus

"I have developed my career with MCFT, starting as a trainee and now as a team leader.

Working here was simply the best decision I made as they really do concentrate on their people, helping me develop into the engineer I am today.

Even as a team leader I am sent out on training courses to keep up to scratch, gaining my ILM. We’re just ordinary people but together we're an extraordinary team."

Stuart Ford

"MCFT is very diverse and inclusive, there's no male roles or female roles there are just job titles, it's great because I'm 'one of the engineers' which I find very liberating.

I would recommend any woman to go for a trade role to help fight the stereotypes and prove trade roles aren't just for men. If you're considering an engineering style role - take the plunge! I have been doing this for over 2 years and haven't looked back and i'm still loving it."

Shannon Leeson

"As a senior engineer I am thrilled to have the opportunity to coach and help develop the new trainees we get on board.

I am extremely proud to work for MCFT as there is no better feeling than walking onto a site knowing with that badge on your chest, people trust you to do a good job.

MCFT helped me achieve my Eng Tech status which is a wonderful achievement, I couldn’t do it without the support of the team surrounding me!"

What do you get as an MCFT Technician?

Each engineer manages their own customer sites within a workable area, we don’t believe in travelling for hours to get to a site, it’s not productive. Our customers want the same engineer to look after them, which means building lasting relationships with the customer and their teams.

Every one of our engineers is as valuable as each other, they work closely with one another to ensure we are the best version of ourselves every day! The customers we work with want the same person to go to their kitchen, which means we build lasting relationships with our customers and our engineers stay - we are not recruiting new engineers to replace people, we are most defiantly recruiting engineers to service, support and manage our expanding customer portfolio.
