Welcome to the HR team, where it's all about the people! We enable the widest range of HR activities from recruiting new starters (interns & grads, engineers, trainees and office roles) and all that is involved in helping them settle into life at McFT (starting with an in depth induction programme).
Learning and career development is the part of McFT’s backbone to support our ambitious growth plans and is based on a fundamental belief of enabling our people to grow via external and internal training programmes (we even won a national award for it – link to BIFM award). The core HR management part includes anything from reviewing current legislation, completing probation reviews, seeking & reviewing feedback to supporting line managers with their responsibilities. At the moment there are a number of key projects we are working on which include preparing for McFT’s IIP assessment in November to rolling out coaching and leadership workshops. "No two days are the same at McFT, that’s why my job is enjoyable. I get the chance to work closely with everyone from engineers to finance department, giving me a full insight of the company. I seek and organise the most recent training for our staff and really gives me a sense of satisfaction watching individuals develop in their field. The team I am part of was put together fairly recently but we had an instant gel, bouncing off each other we ll with ideas and tasks. Working in an organised manner, we are able to help each other with tasks in order to deliver them on time and not ever feel stuck as there is always a helping hand. Working with McFT I have found myself developing as well, being given extensive in-house training and some external training, I even was given first aid and fire marshal training, which is always nice to have!"
