Out of the 116 organisations that applied, The City & Guilds Group have announced that we are among 40 organisations to be awarded the prestigious Princess Royal Training Award. The list of awardees includes businesses of all sizes, both in the public and private sector, ranging from all different industries.
A team from McFT took their trainee assessment course on tour for the day and spent some time with Year 10’s at The Windsor Boys School.
Chris Pyle , one of a couple of dishwasher specilists in the business – with manufacturer technician time at both Hobart and Meiko, has held a number of additional dishwasher master-classes for our trainees and improvers. With the sun shining, his latest group of students were given the opportunity to undertake the session outside.
In January, a cohort of 6 trainee engineers joined McFT to embark on a 2 year development plan, during which time they will become fully trained as competent, professional engineers, able to meet the exacting standards required of a McFT engineer.
McFT welcomed six new trainees on Monday 16th January - the first of two cohorts planned for this year. Ahead of them lies a couple of years of intensive training – mixing classroom with site experience – and mixing technical skills with soft skills – CQ anyone ? – along with commercial insights – from working safely to industry knowledge.
