IT Developer

Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager and working alongside colleagues in every department, you will be responsible for the evolution of both internal and external portal and app functions, with a focus on data analysis and the creation of metrics, reports, and dashboards.

 It will encompass a combination of front and back end development; tying into our SQL database with the appropriate functions and queries, while developing an aesthetically pleasing UI alongside our digital designers.

As part of our continuing investment in developing our own in-house resource, we are looking for a new member of our talented IT team based at our Head Office in Maidenhead.  Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager and working alongside colleagues in every department, you will be responsible for the evolution of both internal and external portal and app functions, with a focus on data analysis and the creation of metrics, reports, and dashboards.

 

It will encompass a combination of front and back end development; tying into our SQL database with the appropriate functions and queries, while developing an aesthetically pleasing UI alongside our digital designers.

 

Key areas of responsibility are:

  • Development of dashboards, both internal and external
  • Further analysis of business trends, and how to develop metrics to track these trends
  • Interface and UI design and support for dashboard, portal, and app
  • Technical design and evolution for all departments of the business

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Digital graphic design experience
  • A developed understanding of business analytics, reporting, and metrics
  • A working understanding of some or all of the following:
    • HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, .NET framework, VB, VBA, Ajax, ASP.net, C#, MS SQL, Javascript, Jquery, Adobe Suite
    • Business experience, ideally in B2B, preferably in the service sector
    • Ability to handle a varied and flexible workload whilst meeting deadlines
    • Tenacity – be prepared to drive solutions forward by being proactive and engaged
    • A high standard of written and spoken English
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – enjoys working as part of a team
    • Self Driven – The ability to understand the need to meet customer requirements and proactively solve problems
